MARKO ARNAUTOVIC hailed Stoke City's win over Aston Villa as 'unbelievable' after securing the only goal of the game on Saturday afternoon.
The Austrian recorded his second goal of the campaign to ensure City were 1-0 victors in what was a dominant performance by Mark Hughes’ side.
The result means the Potters also achieved back-to-back wins and earn a third successive win at Villa Park for the first time in the Club’s history.
Arnautovic saw a goal ruled out for offside in the first half but the forward was happy to eventually bag the winner and gain all three points.
“It was an unbelievable win for us and I thought we showed plenty of quality,” he said to Stoke City Player.
“It’s Aston Villa and it is never easy because they have good players in the team and it is never easy to win an away game.
“We’re happy and on the overall consensus of play I think we deserved it.
“I scored a goal in the first half which was offside and if it counted we could have put the game further to bed.”
Arnautovic rounded up a fine performance just before the hour mark after peeling away from his marker to slot the ball past Brad Guzan.
He was brilliantly spotted by Glen Johnson whose delightful pass assisted and the Austrian international was quick to credit his goal to the England international.
“I will give the goal to Glen Johnson,” he added.
“The ball from him was fantastic. Of course I’m happy to score the goal but I am equally happy that he saw my run.
“We have a very good squad and have so much quality, but we need to show this every week.
“We have to improve every week and I think there is more to come from us.”
